Student-Athlete Advisory Board & Leadership Conference
PCA formed the National Student-Athlete Advisory Board (NSAAB) in 2008 to identify and address key issues facing high school athletes. Board activities include participating in periodic conference calls with PCA staff and trainers and expert guest speakers. NSAAB members also provide insights and feedback that inform PCA’s development of youth-facing products, services and programs, such as the Triple-Impact Competitor® workshop and online course and Jim Thompson's Elevating Your Game.
On occasion, NSAAB Members and selected other student-athletes, such as Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship winners, have convened at a Student-Athlete Leadership Conference hosted by PCA at Stanford University. There, student-athletes benefit from group discussions, team-building activities they can take back to their sports teams, and presentations by noted sports psychologists.
