Cavs GM Chris Grant Joins Advisory Board >>
Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant -- who played basketball at California's Cañada Junior College for long-time PCA Trainer Mike Legarza -- has joined PCA's National Advisory Board.
"I am thrilled to welcome Chris to our National Advisory Board," said PCA Founder and CEO Jim Thompson. "His passion for PCA's mission is obvious, and his focus on building a positive culture with the Cavaliers is something that PCA can learn from to help us in our goal of transforming the culture of youth sports."
Said Grant: "I am excited to be part of the Positive Coaching Alliance movement. I have benefitted greatly from sports and I want to help PCA create an environment in which every youth athlete can thrive and become a better competitor as well as a better person."
Grant played three years for the University of San Diego where he earned his undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in educational leadership. Before becoming GM of the Cavaliers, Chris worked for nine years with the Atlanta Hawks where he worked his way up from video intern to become Vice President of Basketball Operations & Assistant General Manager.
