Rachel Saks Aronis
Partnership Coordinator, New England
As the Partnership Coordinator for PCA in New England, Rachel assists in the coordination of events and partner relationships. Rachel has been involved in a variety of sports as an athlete and coach throughout her life. She competed in gymnastics and diving into her high school years, and also played lacrosse.
In college she participated in a variety of intramural sports, and developed an interest in triathlon. For almost 30 years, Rachel has been a competitive runner, swimmer, and triathlete and has competed in more than 170 races. Some of her accomplishments include running two Boston marathons (she is a Boston Marathon Qualifier), competing in two Ironman triathlons, and racing in three USA Triathlon Age Group World Championships.
As a member of the Boston Triathlon team since 2002, she has been voted both the Female Athlete of the Year and Female Triathlete of the Year on several occasions. Rachel spent a number of years as a swim instructor for kids, and also taught adults who were beginner triathletes - which was a chance for Rachel to share her love of open water swimming.
Rachel still competes in road races, triathlons, and open water swimming on local and national levels. Since 2015 Rachel has been a trainer for BOKS (Build Our Kids Success), a before school exercise program for elementary school kids operated by Reebok. She has taken several courses in sport psychology, which is always a topic she weaves into both her training and teaching opportunities.
