Senior Vice President/General Manager, FOX Sports Southwest

As the senior vice president and general manager (SVP/GM) of FOX Sports Southwest, FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX Sports New Orleans, Steve Simpson oversees all production, programming, advertising sales, marketing, communications, digital content and business operations of the 24-hour regional sports networks. He manages all aspects of the broadcast rights relationships with the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, the San Antonio Spurs, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the New Orleans Pelicans, the Big 12 and the University Interscholastic League, the governing body overseeing Texas high school sports. Serving sports fans across the Greater Dallas Area, Oklahoma and New Orleans communities, FOX Sports Southwest and sister networks, FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX Sports New Orleans, combine to produce over 750 events and nearly 2,500 hours of local original sports programming annually.
Simpson is a veteran of the FOX Sports family of networks. For nearly 16 years, he served as the Sr. Vice President/General Manager at FOX Sports West and Prime Ticket in Los Angeles. Simpson was active in the Southern California community serving on the Board of the LA Sports Council, the Advisory Board for the LA Sports and Entertainment Commission and the Partnership for LA Schools Board.
Prior to his move into the SVP/GM role, he was the local sales manager for FSN, directing the sales activities for both regional sports networks. His sales experience dates back to 1998, including roles as sales managers at Clear Channel Radio/XTRA Sports 1150 AM Los Angeles and the director of broadcast sales for Houston Astros from 1989 to 1995.
Simpson is anxious to get actively involved in the communities served by FOX Sports Southwest. He is currently in the process of joining the boards of the Positive Coaching Alliance North Texas Chapter and the SMU Athletic Forum.
A native of Houston, Texas, Simpson is an alumni of the Universtiy of Texas, Austin. He has two children and resides in Dallas, Texas.
