CHSAA Welcomes PCA As Official Parent Program Provider

03.29.2018

CHSAA has recognized PCA-Colorado as its official parent behavior program provider, using the very successful Dare to Chill campaign as the centerpiece to their parent education platform. PCA-Colorado will have the opportunity to work with parents across the state of Colorado through workshops and resources to help ensure that every parent understands what it means to be a Second-Goal Parent®.

PCA-Colorado was invited to attend the CHSAA Boys and Girls Basketball State Tournament (pictured above), where our Chapter had a booth with parent materials about the Dare to Chill initiative, public address announcements about being a Second-Goal Parent, and the Dare to Chill commercial (displayed below) played before tipoff of every game. The message was played bfore all 12 games between 4A and 5A Boys and Girls, where over 23,000 coaches, parents, leaders, and student-athletes saw the message.

As PCA-Colorado Executive Director Tom Puzio shared, "We are thrilled to be partnering with CHSAA on their parent behavior initiative. The opportunity to positively impact high school sports across the state of Colorado through our Dare to Chill program is exciting for us as a Chapter!"

PCA-Colorado is looking forward to expanding work with high school student-athletes, coaches and parents across the state to help create a great sports environment for everyone to enjoy.
