PCA-Phoenix has received a $50,000 grant from Fiesta Bowl Charities. The funds will enable PCA-Phoenix to continue service to the Phoenix Union High School District.

“We at PCA-Phoenix are incredibly grateful for this grant, which lets us continue conducting dozens of workshops for coaches, athletes and parents in the district,” said Devin Rankin, Chapter Executive Director. “The original grant from the Super Bowl Host Committee launched this partnership and has helped us impact hundreds of athletes and coaches. With the Fiesta Bowl funding we will double our reach and provide an even deeper level of understanding of what it means to create a Development Zone where athletes thrive.

Phoenix Union High School District is one of the largest, most diverse high school districts in the nation. It covers 220-square miles, and 94% of its students are minority, representing over 60 languages. The district also serves communities in-need with over 80% of its students on a free or reduced meal program.

“Phoenix Union High School District is committed to student achievement and prides itself on innovative programming,” said Phoenix Union High School District Director of Athletics Dr. Zachary Muñoz. “Through these priorities and strong leadership, the district is well-suited to maximize the PCA character-education resources provided by the Fiesta Bowl.”

"Fiesta Bowl Charities is proud to support Positive Coaching Alliance," said Matt Winter, Fiesta Bowl Chairman of the Board. "They're instilling in our youth essential life lessons, and we are excited to help fuel their efforts."
