PCA-Arizona Hosts First Little League Day - Skills Clinic with Oakland Athletics

03.11.2019

On February 16, PCA-Arizona hosted their first Little League Day in partnership with the Oakland Athletics at Hohokam Stadium, the Spring Training site for the A’s. This event offered a free skills clinic for over 70 kindergarten through eighth grade baseball and softball athletes.

The Oakland A’s coaches and players assisted in teaching and developing these athletes’ batting, catching, and pitching skills and techniques. For their participation, every athlete received one free lawn ticket to the Oakland A’s Home Opener on February 21st, an A’s hat, and one free ticket to the Bodies Revealed exhibit at the OdySea. Vendors and food were also provided for the athletes and their families to enjoy.

A special thanks to the Oakland Athletics and Hohokam Stadium for their collaboration. Thank you to Dick’s Sporting Goods for donating the softball equipment. Also, thank you to all the local vendors (
Loaded Dogs, The Koine House, Milton's Craft Bakers, Muddy Road Couture, Paparazzi, Scentsy, City of Mesa and More Than Just Snaps) and North Canyon High School’s baseball team’s players and coaches for coming out and making Little League Day a success!
