Personal Mastery: Making oneself better
Leadership: Making one's teammates better
Honoring the Game: Making the game better
Since the inception of Positive Coaching Alliance-Houston, the Board of Directors and staff of PCA have worked diligently to transform youth sports, so sports can transform youth - Better Athletes, Better People!
Sponsoring this year...
Over the years, the number of youth engaged in our programs in the Houston area has multiplied tenfold; from 5,000 in 2008 to more than 65,000 children annually. PCA-Houston partners with almost 300 schools and youth sports organizations. Through our Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship program, we have awarded approximately $236,000 in scholarships to Houston-area students in the past seven years.
Master OF CEremonies, Butch Alsandor

The Master of Ceremonies will be Butch Alsandor, a veteran TV broadcaster who has covered sports in Houston for more than 22 years. He is a play by play and color broadcasting announcer for college football games, including Texas Southern games live on Root Sports and Southland Conference games on ESPN3. During his career, he has covered 6 Super Bowls, two NBA Finals with the Rockets, the Astros in the World Series plus numerous All-Star games in the NBA, MLB, and MLS. He also covered the Final Four twice and numerous NCAA Tournament games. Butch is also on the board of directors for the Lighthouse of Houston and Houston Christian High School.
Thank you also to Former Houston Texan Wade Smith (Wade Smith Foundation), who is partnering with us for the 3rd year in a row on the scholarship program that he has titled “Smitty’s Scholars.” Wade also served on the scholarship selection committee for the past two years. This year, Wade will be receiving the Inspiration Award.
Lance Berkman, Head Coach - Second Baptist, will also receive a 2017 Scholarship Award for supporting our scholarships. Lance will be honored this year with the Scott Zornes Coach Award.
