This year our partner Dove Men+Care is joining PCA to celebrate care as a man’s real strength. From now until November 10, all male soccer coaches nominated for the Double-Goal Coach® Award will ALSO be considered for the Dove Men+Care “Caring Coach” of the Year Award.
In addition to the Double-Goal Coach Award, Dove Men+Care and the Target US Youth Soccer United Cup will highlight the impact of soccer coaches’ care on their athletes and communities during their national tournament series. We will recognize the two (2) youth or high school soccer coaches that made their strongest impact on the next generation by showing care and offering guidance and support on and off the field.
In addition to also being eligible for the Double-Goal Coach Award, the winning coaches and one guest will be flown to the MLS Championship game on December 9 for a world-class fan experience, including the opportunity to meet select players. Be on the lookout for brand ambassadors at Target US Youth Soccer United Cup tournaments around the country this fall for more details.
We at PCA are also proud to partner with Dove Men+Care in an unprecedented way to provide the Caring Coach Curriculum.
It is a resource that offers you, as a youth or high school coach, ideas and practical tips to help you coach with care, enhancing your players’ experiences on and off the field. By coaching with care, not only will you get more from your players as you help them grow and develop into stronger, healthier adults, you will also enhance your own experience as a coach. Additionally, if you are considering coaching but have not yet committed, we hope this curriculum will cause you to become a Caring Coach.
