Good News, Bad News

Liana Blomgren, the Mountain Lake High School senior cross country runner, helped a fallen opponent, Gracie Bucher, across the finish line, disqualifying Liana from a chance to advance to the state meet.

Here is a recent example that qualifies as both good news and bad news:

Bad News: The competition’s rules called for Liana’s automatic disqualification from a chance to advance to the state meet.

Good News: That rule is changing in 2017.
