PCA Partners with We Coach To Expand Coach Education

06.05.2019

Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) — a national non-profit developing BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE through youth and high school sports — has partnered with We Coach, a company that works with organizations to help increase their social impact through sport. We Coach includes a team of experts who help integrate innovative practices from the fields of youth and community development into sports programs and strategies, including equipping coaches with the knowledge, resources, and techniques to serve as trauma-informed coach mentors to young people.

We Coach and PCA will partner together to ensure youth sports organizations and schools have the opportunity to take advantage of all different facets of coach education.

“PCA has been offering quality coach education for decades,” said Megan Bartlett, We Coach’s Founder. “We’re excited about the opportunity to complement their great work and give more coaches the tools they need to unleash the power of sport to help young people heal, grow and thrive.”

Bartlett was also recently named to PCA’s National Advisory Board.

"We're excited to partner with We Coach and have them as a PCA Trusted Resource,” said Jason Sacks, PCA's VP of Business Development and Philanthropy. “Megan and her team are leaders in the positive youth development space when it comes to trauma-informed coach education. With our two organizations working closely together, we will be able to reach more youth coaches and organizations across the country, which is a positive step for the sports based youth development movement.”
