PCA-SF Bay Area is proud to have been a beneficiary of the very successful 2nd annual RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley that took place on June 22, 2019 in Northern California’s tech heartland.
On a beautiful Bay Area Saturday, 500 riders (including 100 female cyclists) from 17 states, including Alaska, and three Canadian provinces cycled a beautiful and rewarding 71.5 mile / 47 mile course that went from the heart of Silicon Valley, climbed into majestic redwoods, descended to the stunning coast-line and then headed back to a downtown party.
As noted by Lauren Stanley, Vice President, Client and Marketing Strategy, RBC Capital Markets, “We are thrilled about the success of the RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley again this year, including the funds this event raised to support, Positive Coaching Alliance, one of three nonprofit partners that work to improve the lives of children and teenagers in Silicon Valley. It is very satisfying to know that PCA’s portion of the $100,000 in donations distributed to our 3 nonprofit partners will go to support PCA’s commitment to making youth sports a Development Zone® for character development and life lessons.”
PCA - S.F. Bay Area wishes to express our gratitude to RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley and to its sponsors, Royal Bank of Canada and City National Bank for selecting us as a beneficiary of this outstanding event.
