Doc Rivers had a stellar playing career with Marquette University and several NBA teams, before moving on to coach the Orlando Magic and then the Celtics, where he won the 2008 NBA Championship in a match-up with his fellow PCA National Advisory Board Member, Phil Jackson. Now coaching the Los Angeles Clippers, Rivers also is a prominent sports parent, most notably as father of Austin Rivers, who in 2011 launches his collegiate career at Duke.
