Presented by Insperity
The inaugural PCA-North Texas Positive Impact Awards, held at Las Colinas Country Club on August 9th and presented by Insperity, gave us the opportunity to celebrate the best in our North Texas youth sports community. We recognized our four Triple-Impact Competitor® scholarship recipients as they embark on their college careers.
Also honored were the four local Double-Goal Coach® winners, so named for embodying the ideal of coaching to win while pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports:
Highland Park Athletic Director, Johnny Ringo, accepted the Community Impact Award on behalf of his athletic program in recognition of their commitment to building dedicated, hard-working young men and women and by focusing on winning with integrity in ways that promote self-confidence and pride.
Our emcee for the evening, John Rhadigan, from Fox Sports Southwest, led a lively conversation with former Texas Ranger Michael Young.
Young spoke about his own youth sports experiences, his major league playing time and now his role as sports dad, and just how different they have all been – except the basics!
Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser benefitting PCA-North Texas!
Tawanna Flowers, who received PCA's Double-Goal Coach® award this year, was honored at the event. She was also honored at PCA's National Youth Sports Awards & Benefit back in April.
