Sam joined PCA as a trainer in 2012. In addition to leading workshops for athletes, coaches, and parents around the San Francisco Bay Area, Sam also works with the national office on special projects and new initiatives.

Prior to becoming involved with PCA, Sam worked as civil engineer specializing in water resources planning.

Sam is a lifelong athlete and now also a coach and youth sports ref. At Old Dominion University she won an NCAA Division I National Championship in field hockey and became Old Dominion’s first Rhodes Scholar.  For almost two decades, she has played and coached elite Ultimate Frisbee, winning multiple national and world championships with San Francisco Fury. In 2016, she captained Team USA Women’s Masters to a gold medal at the Ultimate Frisbee World Championships in London.

Sam is the mother of two active boys she hopes will continue to have positive, character building youth sports experiences.
